How to Connect Your Apple Devices to your AirPod to listen to music, videos, messaging, and other content. AirPods can also be used to make and receive phone calls as well as FaceTime calls with compatible devices.

After you pair your AirPods with one Apple device (such as your iPhone), they instantly connect to the rest of your Apple devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID.

Connect AirPods to your iPhone or iPad.

1. On your device, go to settings>Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth, and then perform one of the following actions:

  • AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Open the case with your AirPods inside, then place it next to your device.
  • AirPods Max: Remove your AirPods Max from the smart case and, within 60 seconds, hold them next to the device you wish to pair until the setup animation shows.

If you don’t see the animation, you can manually pair the AirPods Max with your device. Go to Settings>Bluetooth, then choose your Airpods. Hold down the noise control button on the AirPods Max for around five seconds, or until the light flashes white.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions, then tap Done.

Pair AirPods With Apple Watch

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then tap Bluetooth.

2. To connect, tap your AirPods on the Bluetooth screen.

If you’re attempting to pair AirPods Max but don’t see your device listed, hold down the noise control button for five seconds, or until the light flashes white.

Pair AirPods With Mac

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu>System Settings, then click Bluetooth in the sidebar. Check that Bluetooth is turned on, then do one of the following:

  • AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Open the case with your AirPods inside, hold it next to your device, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the AirPods case for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
  • AirPods Max: Press and hold down the noise control button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.

2. In the list of devices, select your AirPods, then click Connect.

TIP: You can also show Bluetooth settings in the menu bar to make it easier to pair your Airods.

Pair AirPods With Apple TV

1. On Apple TV, press on the siri Remote, then select Settings.

2. Scroll down to Remotes and Devices>Bluetooth, then choose one of the following options:

  • AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Open the case with your AirPods inside, hold it next to your device, then press and hold the setup button on the back of the AirPods case for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.
  • AirPods Max: Press and hold down the noise control button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white.

3. Below Other Devices, select your AirPods.

Connect AirPods Max with an audio Cable

Connect an Apple Lightning to 3,5 mm Audio Cable to the charging port on your AirPods Max and the headphone jack on your iPhone.
