After you pair your AirPods with one Apple device (such as your iPhone), they instantly connect to the rest of your Apple devices that are signed in with the same Apple ID.
Connect AirPods to your iPhone or iPad.
1. On your device, go to settings>Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth, and then perform one of the following actions:
- AirPods (all generations) or AirPods Pro (all generations): Open the case with your AirPods inside, then place it next to your device.
- AirPods Max: Remove your AirPods Max from the smart case and, within 60 seconds, hold them next to the device you wish to pair until the setup animation shows.
