Xiaomi Redmi 13 4G Specifications
Xiaomi has officially expanded its Redmi 13 series with the introduction of the Redmi 13 4G, a successor to the popular Redmi 12. This new model boasts significant upgrades, including the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset and a powerful 108MP main camera.
Key Features and Specifications
Display and Design
The Redmi 13 4G retains the 6.79-inch IPS LCD screen from its predecessor, offering FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front-facing camera has been upgraded to 13MP, embedded within the display. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP53 water and dust resistance, and a robust 5,030 mAh battery supporting 33W fast charging. The device runs on Xiaomi HyperOS, based on Android 14.
Camera Upgrades
One of the standout enhancements is the primary camera, which now features a 108MP sensor, a significant upgrade from the 50MP camera on the Redmi 12. This is complemented by a 2MP depth sensor. However, the ultra-wide-angle camera has been removed, reducing the rear camera setup from three to two sensors. The front camera sees an upgrade to 13MP from the previous 8MP.
Performance
Under the hood, the Redmi 13 4G is powered by the new MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra chipset, replacing the Helio G88 used in the Redmi 12. Although the performance difference is minimal, the new chipset brings efficiency improvements. The device maintains the same 6.79-inch IPS panel with 1080p resolution, 550 nits brightness, and a 90Hz refresh rate.
Battery and Charging
The battery capacity has been slightly increased to 5,030 mAh, up from 5,000 mAh, and now supports 33W fast charging, an upgrade from the previous 18W.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 13 4G is available in three colors: blue, black, and pink. Pricing in the Eurozone starts at €199.99 for the 6GB RAM/128GB storage version and goes up to €229.99 for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage variant. Early adopters can expect discounts of around €20 to €30 at launch.
