Fitbit Ace LTE: A Smartwatch That Turns Exercise into Play

Fitbit Ace LTE is a groundbreaking smartwatch designed to encourage kids to stay active while giving parents peace of mind. This first-of-its-kind connected device transforms exercise into play and provides a safe, fun way for children to gain independence.

Making Exercise Fun

Fitbit Ace LTE is geared towards children aged 7 and up, turning physical activity into an engaging experience. The smartwatch includes interactive 3D games where kids earn game time by moving more. Each game, specifically designed for the device, utilizes haptics, sounds, and the accelerometer to create an immersive experience. Games are regularly updated, ensuring kids always have something new to look forward to. The activity ring, known as the ‘Noodle,’ celebrates when kids reach their daily movement goals.

Designed with Safety in Mind

Safety and privacy are paramount in the design of the Fitbit Ace LTE. Only parents can view a child’s location and activity data, which are automatically deleted after 24 hours and 35 days, respectively. The smartwatch does not support ads or third-party apps, and only contacts approved by parents can communicate with the device.

Encouraging Healthy Habits with Eejies

Beyond games, the Fitbit Ace LTE introduces ‘Eejies,’ customizable creatures that thrive on the child’s physical activity. Kids can earn arcade tickets by completing daily activities, which can be used to customize their Eejie’s appearance and home in Bit Valley. The smartwatch also offers six collectible bands, each unlocking new items and styles when attached for the first time, enhancing the gaming experience.

Features for Family Connectivity

The Fitbit Ace LTE allows parents to monitor their child’s location and communicate through the new Fitbit Ace app available on both Android and iOS. The app lets parents send and receive text and voice messages, add trusted contacts, and manage settings like School Time to minimize distractions. Additionally, a Tap to Pay feature will soon allow kids to access pocket money safely.

Easy Setup and Durability

Setting up the Fitbit Ace LTE is straightforward. Parents can download the Fitbit Ace app on their compatible phone, and the device is ready to use in minutes without the need for a SIM card or activation fee. The smartwatch is built to last, with water resistance up to 50 meters and a battery life exceeding 16 hours. It features a high-resolution, scratch-resistant display made of Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, and comes with a protective bumper.

Availability and Pricing

The Fitbit Ace LTE is available for pre-order at $229.95 exclusively on the Google Store and Amazon. It requires the Fitbit Ace Pass data plan for LTE connectivity, access to the Fitbit Arcade, and regular updates. The data plan costs $9.99 per month or $119.99 annually, with annual subscribers receiving a complimentary collectible Ace Band. A promotional 50% discount on the annual subscription is available until August 31st.
