Samsung Galaxy M56 Launching in India on April 17: Slim Design, 50MP Triple Cameras, AI Tools & More
Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy M56 will debut in India on April 17, 2025, marking the arrival of its next mid-range contender. This upcoming smartphone combines performance, premium design, and intelligent software to deliver a feature-rich experience at an accessible price point.
After weeks of leaks and teasers, Samsung has finally revealed the Galaxy M56’s Indian launch date. Slated for release on April 17, the company has begun teasing key specs and design elements of the smartphone through official channels. Based on these teasers and recent certifications, the device aims to bring top-tier features like an ultra-slim 7.2mm profile, triple rear cameras, and AI-powered software tools to the budget-conscious Indian market.
Design & Durability: Slim, Sleek, and Tough
One of the standout features of the Galaxy M56 is its 7.2mm ultra-slim body, making it one of the thinnest phones in its category. Despite its sleek form factor, the device houses a 5,000mAh battery, providing all-day endurance for heavy users.
To ensure durability, Samsung has equipped the phone with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and rear, protecting it from scratches and minor drops while maintaining a premium look and feel.
Display: Immersive and Bright
On the front, the Galaxy M56 flaunts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering a buttery-smooth experience for content consumption, scrolling, and gaming. Samsung also promises slimmer bezels and a brighter panel, likely improving outdoor visibility and enhancing immersion.
Performance: Built for Everyday Power
Under the hood, the M56 is rumored to feature either the Exynos 1580 or Exynos 1480 SoC, depending on the market. A recent listing on Geekbench shows the Indian variant—model number SM-M566B—running the Exynos 1480 chip alongside 8GB of RAM.
It will likely ship with One UI 7, based on the latest Android 15, offering a refined user experience and deep integration with Galaxy AI tools. Memory configurations are expected to go up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
Camera: Triple Lens with AI Enhancement
The Galaxy M56 will be equipped with a triple rear camera system led by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for steadier shots. Complementing this is an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter, catering to versatile photography needs.
Samsung has also highlighted its Advanced Nightography mode, which enhances low-light performance, and a suite of AI editing features, including:
• Object Eraser – Remove unwanted elements from photos
• Edit Suggestions – Smart edits based on image context
• Image Clipper – Instantly isolate objects from backgrounds
On the front, users get a 50MP selfie camera, making the device an excellent choice for high-quality selfies and video calls.
Battery & Charging: Reliable Endurance
While the Indian variant is confirmed to pack a 5,000mAh battery, global rumors suggest other regions might see a larger 7,000mAh unit. Either way, the phone supports up to 45W fast wired charging, ensuring quick top-ups throughout the day.
Software & Smart Features: One UI 7 with Galaxy AI
Running on One UI 7 based on Android 15, the M56 will bring the latest software enhancements, privacy features, and AI capabilities. Users can expect Galaxy AI tools like:
• Live Translate for real-time multilingual communication
• Circle to Search powered by Google
• Generative Edit for transforming photos
• Transcript Assist for AI-driven note-taking
These tools elevate productivity, creativity, and daily usability.
Expected Price in India
Although the official price is still under wraps, industry insiders predict the Galaxy M56 will launch between ₹22,000 to ₹25,000, positioning it strongly in the mid-range segment alongside competitors like Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and iQOO Z9 Turbo.
