Huawei releases The FreeClip Open-Ear Buds, And The MatePad Pro 13.2

Huawei today unveiled the FreeClip, a completely wireless earphone with a unique open-ear design for all-day comfort.

The FreeClip is part of Huawei’s wearable Fashion Forward offering, and it responds to a rising population of listeners who desire in-ear wireless headphones that allow them to stay in tune with their surroundings, according to Huawei.

The footage is divided into three sections: the Comfort Bean, the Acoustic Ball, and the C-bridge Design. The Comfort Bean is made of an ergonomic bean shape that conforms to the curvatures of the human ear. To obtain the appropriate size without causing discomfort, the Acoustic Ball is based on the shapes of real cavum concha models.

Furthermore, Huawei claims that the FreeClip is the industry’s first open-ear bud that does not differentiate between left and right ears.

The FreeClip has a battery life of up to 32 hours and can be fully charged in 40 minutes; 10 minutes equals up to 3 hours of listening time. The buds (not the case) are splash-proof to IP54.

The FreeClip will be available in the UK and Europe in late December for £180 and €200, respectively. If you order between today and January 29, you will receive a free Huawei Band 8.

The Kirin 9000S SoC powers the MatePad Pro 13.2″, which runs HarmonyOS 4 and has up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage onboard. It has a 13.2″ 144Hz OLED display with a resolution of 2,880×1,920 and a 10,100 mAh battery with 88W wired charging. The MatePad Pro 13.2 also has six speakers and three cameras: a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP selfie camera (joined by a ToF 3D sensor).
