Xiaomi 14 Ultra Camera Set to Feature New Lenses on Familiar Design

The upcoming Xiaomi 14 Ultra is generating excitement, and recent glimpses of the camera island cover glass suggest an interesting upgrade. While the overall design remains consistent with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the sensors are poised to bring fresh capabilities.

As per the revealed image, the main camera will boast a brighter f/1.6 aperture, while the periscope telephoto lens will introduce an f/2.5 lens. Leica’s tuning is once again expected to enhance the camera’s performance.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Camera Highlights:

  • Main camera with a brighter f/1.6 aperture.
  • Periscope telephoto lens featuring an f/2.5 lens.
  • Continued partnership with Leica for camera tuning.

Xiaomi has a reputation for redesigning its flagship devices with each new generation. The use of the “Ultra” label usually brings forth a fresh aesthetic, making the current leak intriguing. Either the leak might not accurately represent the final design, or Xiaomi is bucking its trend and sticking with a successful formula from the previous year.

If the leak holds true, expectations include a Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture for the main camera, aligning with earlier reports. One lingering question is whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be globally available or limited to a China-exclusive launch, similar to the strategy observed with the 11 Ultra and 12S Ultra.

Xiaomi enthusiasts eagerly await more details, eager to witness the next evolution of the Ultra series.
