Samsung Galaxy M16 5G & F16 5G renders leaked ahead of launch

Samsung is all set to broaden its mid-range Galaxy lineup with the introduction of two smartphones, the Galaxy M16 5G and Galaxy F16 5G. Both devices have recently been spotted in multiple certifications and benchmarks, including Wi-Fi Alliance, BIS, and Geekbench, further hinting at an imminent release. Additionally, leaked renders have provided significant insights into their designs and specifications.

Samsung Galaxy M16 5G: Design and Specifications

The Galaxy M16 5G is shaping up to be a sleek, modern device with refined aesthetics and powerful internals.

Design:

According to renders shared by Android Headlines, the M16 5G will feature a pill-shaped rear camera module housing three vertically aligned sensors. An LED flash is positioned just outside the module. The phone boasts flat edges, with the power button, volume controls, and a fingerprint sensor conveniently located on the right side, while the left houses the SIM slot. The front of the device includes an Infinity-U notch for the selfie camera.

The flat rear panel comes in three color variants, offering options such as dark grey, mint green, and peach. Unlike its predecessor, the M15, the M16’s back panel lacks textured patterns, giving it a minimalist appeal.

Specifications:

The Geekbench listing confirms the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It will feature an 8GB RAM option, with the possibility of additional configurations yet to be confirmed. The smartphone runs Android 14 and offers connectivity options including dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct, and WPA2/WPA3 protections.

Samsung Galaxy F16 5G: Design and Specifications

The Galaxy F16 5G closely resembles the M16 5G in design but stands out with a few notable distinctions.

Design:

Briefly showcased in renders published by Smartprix, the F16 5G features a metal rear camera island similar to the M16’s layout, housing three vertically aligned sensors. It is expected to be available in multiple finishes, including gradient and solid colorways, catering to a wider audience.

Specifications:

The F16 5G is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant visuals and fluid scrolling. The camera setup will include a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor for versatile photography.

Powering the device will likely be the MediaTek Dimensity 6300+ chipset, supported by a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging capability.

Both devices share a strikingly similar design language, making them attractive choices in the mid-range segment. While the M16 5G emphasizes simplicity and minimalism with flat edges and a clean rear panel, the F16 5G offers a more diverse aesthetic with its color options.

Launch and Availability

Samsung is expected to market these smartphones on distinct platforms in India. The Galaxy M16 5G will likely be sold through Amazon, while the Galaxy F16 5G may debut on Flipkart. Both devices are anticipated to launch within weeks, targeting budget-conscious buyers who seek premium features at competitive prices.
