Nothing Phone (3a) & Phone (3a) Plus specifications leaks ahead of launch on March 4, 2025!

The Nothing Phone (3a) is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smartphone releases of 2025, with its sleek design, cutting-edge features, and competitive pricing. Building on the success of its predecessors, Nothing is poised to continue disrupting the mid-range smartphone market. The brand has officially announced an event on March 4th, 2025, where the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Plus are expected to be unveiled. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming devices.

Launch Event and Confirmations

The announcement of the March 4th event has been confirmed via Nothing’s microsite on Flipkart and the Nothing.tech India website. The Flipkart page URL hints that the Nothing Phone (3a) will take center stage at the event. Alongside the Phone (3a), the Phone (3a) Plus is rumored to make its debut, featuring enhanced specifications for users who demand even more performance and capabilities.

Display and Design

The Nothing Phone (3a) is rumored to feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and an immersive viewing experience. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures a responsive feel whether you’re gaming, streaming, or scrolling. As with its predecessors, the Phone (3a) will retain Nothing’s signature transparent back design, complete with Glyph lighting, which serves both as a functional and aesthetic element.

Processor and Performance

At its core, the Nothing Phone (3a) is expected to house the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a 4nm processor designed for efficiency and performance. Paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, this setup ensures lag-free multitasking and a seamless user experience. The device will ship with Android 15 running Nothing OS 3.1, offering a clean, bloatware-free interface with customization options for personalization.

Camera Upgrades

On the camera front, the Phone (3a) is expected to sport a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for sharp and stable shots. Supporting it is an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP telephoto camera, making the Phone (3a) more versatile for photography enthusiasts. While the ultra-wide lens is a downgrade from the 50MP sensor seen on the Phone (2a), the addition of a telephoto lens marks a significant upgrade. For selfies, a 32MP front camera will likely make a return.

The Phone (3a) Plus might take things a step further by featuring a periscope telephoto camera, adding even more versatility to its photography suite.

Battery and Connectivity

Powering the Phone (3a) will be a 5000mAh battery, supporting 45W wired charging for quick top-ups. The device will also include modern connectivity options such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. These features ensure fast internet speeds, seamless wireless connections, and the ability to use contactless payments.

Nothing’s Signature Design

Nothing’s focus on unique design is evident with the inclusion of Glyph lighting on the back panel. These customizable LED lights not only serve as notification indicators but also enhance the overall visual appeal of the phone. The transparent back design will likely showcase the phone’s internal components, maintaining the brand’s distinct aesthetic.

Price and Availability

The Nothing Phone (3a) is expected to fall within the mid-range price segment, likely between $400 and $500, while the Phone (3a) Plus may come with a higher price tag due to its upgraded features. The devices are expected to launch globally, with availability in markets such as India, Europe, and the US.
