“Find a Spotify playlist with [genre/mood/activity] music.”

 

This extension works for playing specific songs, albums, or playlists, as well as searching for music by lyrics, mood, or genre. Additionally, users can request podcasts, such as “Play the latest episode of [podcast name].” It simplifies the music experience, turning voice commands into actionable tasks.

 

How to Set It Up

1. Enable the Extension: Open the Gemini app, navigate to your profile settings, select “Extensions,” and toggle on Spotify.

 

2. Link Your Account: Follow the on-screen prompts to link your Spotify account with your Google account. This requires Spotify Premium to play specific songs.

 

3. Issue Commands: Once connected, you can request songs or browse playlists. The extension defaults to the last-used music service if multiple are connected.

 

 

 

Things to Note

Platform Limitations: Currently, this feature is only available on Android. It doesn’t support iPhones, the Gemini web app, or use within Google Messages.
