Lenovo has launched the Legion R34w-30, first unveiled at CES last month.

Lenovo has unveiled its latest ultra-wide gaming monitor, the Legion R34w-30, in China, offering a powerful combination of performance and sharp visuals at an affordable price. Priced at 1,999 yuan (~$278), the monitor was first introduced at CES last month and is now available on JD.com.

Lenovo Legion R34w-30 Specifications

The Legion R34w-30 features a 34-inch ultrawide display with a 3440×1440 WQHD resolution, offering 110 PPI for sharp and clear visuals. The monitor comes with a 1500R curvature, which enhances immersion by curving the screen to match the natural field of view, providing a more dynamic experience. The 21:9 aspect ratio further widens the field of view, making it ideal for both gaming and productivity tasks, allowing users to multitask with ease.

The native 180Hz refresh rate ensures ultra-smooth gameplay, with minimal motion blur, making fast-paced games feel more responsive and fluid. It also supports AdaptiveSync and AMD FreeSync technologies, which work together to eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, providing a seamless gaming experience. The response time is adjustable between 1ms and 5ms GTG, and the monitor features an esports mode that reduces it to 0.5ms MPRT, minimizing motion blur during high-speed action sequences.

For gamers and creators who demand precise color accuracy, the Legion R34w-30 is equipped with a VA panel that covers 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring vivid, lifelike colors. Whether you’re gaming, editing videos, or creating content, this monitor is designed to deliver outstanding color performance. Additionally, it supports HDR10 and boasts a 350-nit peak brightness, enhancing contrast and delivering a more dynamic visual experience.

Comfort and Eye Care

Lenovo has designed the Legion R34w-30 with extended usage in mind. It comes with TÜV Rheinland-certified hardware-level blue light reduction and Eyesafe Display 2.0 certification, both of which work to reduce eye strain during long gaming or work sessions. The monitor also features a flicker-free panel, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience. Furthermore, the ClearMR 8000 certification guarantees high motion clarity without artificial enhancement, so fast-moving visuals remain crisp and clear.

Connectivity and Ergonomics

In terms of connectivity, the Legion R34w-30 is well-equipped with two HDMI 2.1 TMDS ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3, and a 3.5mm audio output jack, offering compatibility with PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. The monitor also supports VESA mounting with a 100x100mm pattern for users who prefer a more customized setup. The ergonomic stand allows for height adjustment up to 135mm, tilting from -5° to 22°, and swiveling between -30° and 30°, enabling users to find the perfect viewing angle. For basic audio needs, it includes built-in dual 3W speakers, eliminating the need for external speakers.
