Lava Blaze Duo 5G Launched with Dual Display Design

Indian smartphone maker Lava has unveiled its latest offering, the Blaze Duo 5G, featuring an innovative secondary display on the rear panel. Building on the design language introduced by the Lava Agni 3, which debuted in October, the Blaze Duo 5G enters the niche market of dual-display smartphones. Here’s a closer look at what this device has to offer.
Specifications and Features
Dual Display Design
The standout feature of the Blaze Duo 5G is its dual-display setup. The primary screen is a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth interactions. The secondary display, located on the rear panel, measures 1.58 inches and uses an AMOLED panel. This compact screen allows users to check notifications, control music, and view time without unlocking the device, enhancing convenience.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Blaze Duo 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7025 processor, a capable mid-range chipset. It comes with two RAM options—6GB and 8GB—and a standard 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring seamless multitasking and fast data access. The phone runs on Android 14 out of the box, with Lava promising an upgrade to Android 15, making it future-proof for at least the next software cycle.
Camera Capabilities
The Blaze Duo 5G is equipped with a 64-megapixel primary rear sensor accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, designed for basic depth or macro functions. For selfies and video calls, the device sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, offering crisp image quality.
Battery and Charging
The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, sufficient for a full day of moderate to heavy usage. It supports 33W fast charging, ensuring quick top-ups to minimize downtime.
Connectivity and Build
The Blaze Duo 5G supports the latest connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. For added convenience and security, it features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the phone is rated IP64 for dust and water resistance, making it durable for everyday use.
