iQOO Neo 10R is launching in India soon!
iQOO is gearing up for the launch of its Neo 10R in India, with an official confirmation from Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India. The Neo 10R is expected to hit the market in February 2025, following a successful launch of the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro in India the previous year. While these devices were initially launched in China, iQOO has been tight-lipped about their availability in India. Surprisingly, the brand is preparing a fresh addition to the Neo series with the Neo 10R, a device that promises to offer competitive specs and a fresh design for the Indian market.
Design & Build
A teaser shared by Nipun Marya recently revealed the Neo 10R’s design, showcasing a two-tone color scheme with an updated back panel. The lower half of the device appears to borrow elements from the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro models, featuring a dotted pattern and vertical iQOO branding. The rear design also confirms the switch to a square camera island, a shift from the previous generation’s more minimalist camera module design. While this design change may feel like a departure from the Neo series’ original aesthetic, it could serve to distinguish the Neo 10R from its more premium counterparts, the Neo 10 and Neo 10 Pro.
The new design also reflects iQOO’s strategy of positioning the Neo 10R as a device that blends performance and aesthetics, catering to users who seek both value and style. However, some users may feel that this redesign compromises the Neo series’ unique identity. Regardless, this design is poised to be a bold move for iQOO, further expanding the appeal of its Neo series.
Display
The Neo 10R will sport a 6.78-inch “1.5K” AMOLED display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals. The high refresh rate will make it ideal for gaming and high-definition media consumption, while the AMOLED technology ensures deep blacks and vivid colors, making it a perfect choice for multimedia enthusiasts.
Performance
The Neo 10R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, which is a more affordable variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This processor offers high-end performance, including support for gaming at 90fps and the ability to record 4K video at 60fps. These features will provide users with excellent performance for gaming, media creation, and everyday tasks.
In terms of RAM and storage, the Neo 10R is expected to come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, ensuring that it can handle multitasking, gaming, and app usage with ease. The device will also be backed by a substantial 6,400mAh battery, supporting 80W fast charging to keep you powered up throughout the day. The combination of a large battery and fast charging makes the Neo 10R an excellent option for users who require long-lasting performance.
Camera
The camera setup on the Neo 10R is equally impressive, with a 50MP primary rear camera featuring Sony’s Lytia LYT-600 sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies. This setup ensures that users can capture high-quality images and videos, from wide-angle shots to detailed close-ups.
The camera module’s design features a square island, which houses these powerful lenses and is placed above the Neo branding on the rear. This marks another distinction from the previous generation, which had a more integrated camera module design.
Pricing and Availability
The iQOO Neo 10R is expected to be priced competitively under ₹30,000 in India. The device will come in two elegant color options: Blue White Slice and Lunar Titanium, ensuring that users can choose a design that fits their style.
