HTC Teases New Smartphone Launch on June 12

HTC has announced the launch of a new smartphone on June 12 at 8 AM local time in Taiwan. The teaser, shared on the company’s Facebook page, includes an image of the phone’s side profile but lacks additional details.

However, speculation is rife that the upcoming device could be the HTC U24 Pro. This anticipation stems from a listing in the Google Play Console back in April, where the yet-to-be-announced HTC U24 Pro was spotted. The listing unveiled key specifications, hinting that this might be the phone HTC plans to unveil next week.

According to the Google Play Console listing, the HTC U24 Pro will feature a screen resolution of 1080×2436 and will run on Android 14 from the outset. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and paired with 12GB of RAM. Additionally, it will support Bluetooth 5.3.

The HTC U24 Pro is expected to come with a 6.78-inch display offering a Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. These specs align with the rumored enhancements over its predecessor, the HTC U23 Pro, which was launched in May last year. This continuity indicates HTC’s commitment to the U series, despite the company’s limited recent releases.

Although the U series smartphones are not widely available globally, they continue to be offered in select markets, sustaining HTC’s presence in the competitive smartphone industry.

As the launch date approaches, enthusiasts eagerly await confirmation on whether the HTC U24 Pro will indeed be the star of the upcoming event.
