Nothing Unveils CMF Phone 1 with 50MP Sony Camera
Nothing continues its drip-by-drip teaser campaign for its upcoming CMF devices. The latest revelation reveals that the CMF Phone 1 will boast a 50 MP rear camera with a Sony-made sensor and an f/1.8 lens. The camera setup includes a 2x in-sensor zoom. Notably, instead of an ultra-wide camera, the device will feature a secondary portrait sensor.
Previous reports confirmed additional specifications for the CMF Phone 1. The smartphone will have a 6.67-inch sAMOLED display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout, offering an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, and HDR10+ support. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and an additional 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage is expandable via a microSD card slot.
The CMF Phone 1 will be equipped with a 5000mAh battery and will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. It also includes bottom-firing speakers designed to enhance audio quality, inspired by violin acoustics.
Nothing has been revealing more components of the phone as part of its ongoing assembly series, showcasing the in-display fingerprint sensor, the speaker, and the lower frame. The finalized build is expected to be unveiled soon.
Nothing has also confirmed new details about other products under the CMF sub-brand. The CMF Buds Pro 2 TWS earbuds will feature 50dB Hybrid ANC, which is 5dB more than the original Buds Pro. Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna will be the face of the CMF ad campaign for these buds. The earbuds will be available in black/grey and blue and will include dual drivers and ChatGPT integration via Nothing or CMF phones.
Additionally, the CMF Watch Pro 2 will have a round dial, unlike its predecessor’s square design, and will support more than 100 different watch faces. It will feature an aluminum case and a digital crown.
All of these products are officially launching next Monday, on July 8.
