Xiaomi Unveils Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition with Lamborghini Design

Xiaomi is gearing up for the release of the Redmi K70 Ultra on July 19, and in a recent announcement, the company has revealed a special variant—the Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition. This limited edition model is inspired by the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 supercar, featuring a unique design that sets it apart from the standard version.
The Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition sports a striking design in green and yellow color options, with an aggressive aesthetic that echoes the dynamic lines of the Lamborghini supercar. The Squadra Corse logo and golden rings around the camera cut-outs add to its premium appeal.
This special edition follows in the footsteps of the previous K70 Pro Champion Edition, incorporating the Y-shaped logo of the Essenza SCV12 and the SQUADRA CORSE racing shield. The focus of the Champion Edition is largely aesthetic, offering a unique blend of high-performance racing design to enthusiasts and fans.
While Xiaomi has not disclosed detailed specifications for the Champion Edition, it is expected to share core hardware features with the standard Redmi K70 Ultra, possibly with enhanced memory options.
Core Features of the Redmi K70 Ultra
The standard Redmi K70 Ultra is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and boasts a 1.5K resolution OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen features 3840Hz PWM dimming, which Xiaomi claims provides superior eye protection in low-light conditions. This display is co-developed with TCL, though its exact size remains undisclosed.
In the camera department, the Redmi K70 Ultra is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor, likely supported by an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The phone is the first in the Redmi series to use Xiaomi’s self-developed AISP imaging algorithm to enhance overall camera performance.
A notable highlight of the Redmi K70 Ultra is the inclusion of Xiaomi’s Pengpai T1 signal enhancement chip, which promises a 12% boost in WiFi performance, a 20% improvement in GPS accuracy, and a significant 58% increase in 5G signal strength. The phone also features Xiaomi’s in-house Surge P2 chip for fast charging, G1 for power management, and D1 for independent display processing.
The Redmi K70 Ultra is powered by a 5500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging and carries an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.
Special Edition and Availability
The Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition, designed in collaboration with Lamborghini, draws inspiration from the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, a car designed for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series. The phone’s design mirrors the angles and carbon fiber aesthetics of the supercar, making it a standout piece in Xiaomi’s lineup.
Xiaomi’s collaboration with Lamborghini is not new, as seen with the previous special edition of the Redmi K70 Pro, which was styled after the Essenza SCV12 hypercar.
The full details of the Redmi K70 Ultra and the Champion Edition will be unveiled on July 19. While the release of the Lamborghini-inspired model might take a few months post-announcement, its unique design and high-performance features are expected to attract both tech enthusiasts and fans of high-end automotive design.
Pricing and availability details for both models will be announced at the launch event. The Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition promises to be a compelling choice for Lamborghini fans and users seeking a distinctive, high-performance smartphone.
