Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 Set to Launch on July 19
Last week, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, confirmed that the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will debut this month. Today, Xiaomi announced that the Mix Fold 4 will be officially unveiled on July 19 in China at 7 PM local time.
While the company has not fully detailed the Mix Fold 4’s specifications, some key features have been confirmed. The foldable smartphone will be impressively thin at 9.47mm and will weigh 226g. It will feature a quad-camera setup with Leica optics, including two telephoto cameras, one of which will be a 5X periscope unit. Additionally, the Mix Fold 4 will boast an IPX8 rating, 50W wireless charging, and two-way satellite communication.
A poster released by Xiaomi reveals that the Mix Fold 4 will be available in blue and white shades, with a rectangular camera module that has a slight curvature on its bottom edge. Leaks suggest that a black variant may also be available.
Under the hood, the Mix Fold 4 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, positioning it as a competitor to the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Honor Magic V3, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the Chinese market. According to recent reports, the highest variant of the Mix Fold 4 will offer 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
The Mix Fold 4 will be Xiaomi’s first foldable phone to feature the Xiaomi Dragon Bone Hinge 2.0, enhancing its reliability while maintaining its slim profile. To minimize weight, the device utilizes T800H high-strength carbon fiber full-carbon architecture.
The Mix Fold 4’s Leica quad-camera setup will include a 5X periscope lens and a portrait telephoto lens, enabling telephoto macro photography. It will also support 50W wireless charging and two-way satellite communication.
Although Xiaomi has not confirmed it yet, it is expected that the Xiaomi Mix Flip and the Redmi K70 Ultra will also be launched at the same event on July 19.
