TCL made a significant announcement at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, introducing its latest lineup of smartphones – the TCL 50 series. This extensive series comprises seven devices, with five models set to hit the US market. Notably, two of these smartphones will feature the innovative Nxtpaper displays, a technology previously showcased in the TCL 40 Nxtpaper 5G.

While TCL has not yet disclosed the complete specifications for each device, the company has confirmed that all smartphones in the 50 series will boast dual speakers, enhancing the audio experience for users. Despite the limited details released at CES, the anticipation is high for TCL’s new offerings.

TCL has revealed more in-depth specifications for two notable models in its latest 50 series smartphones: the TCL 50 XL 5G and TCL 50 XE 5G. The TCL 50 XL 5G features a sizable 6.8” Full HD+ screen with an impressive 120 Hz screen refresh rate, promising a smooth and vibrant display. On the other hand, the TCL 50 XE 5G sports a slightly smaller 6.6” panel with HD+ resolution and a 90 Hz display, catering to users who prioritize a more compact design.

Both smartphones share key features, including a robust 50 MP main camera, 4 GB of RAM, and a substantial 5,010 mAh battery to ensure extended usage. Additionally, the XE version comes equipped with a generous 128 GB of storage.

For those seeking innovation in display technology, TCL introduces the TCL 50 XL NxtPaper 5G and TCL 50 XE NxtPaper 5G. These variants, essentially identical, showcase the company’s reflection-free panels designed for a comfortable viewing experience. Notably, these models mark the introduction of such displays in the US market, with the previous TCL 40 NxtPaper exclusively available in Europe.

Adding to the lineup is the TCL 50 LE, featuring a 6.6” HD+ panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate, maintaining a balance between performance and affordability. This variant includes two rear cameras, with the main camera boasting a 13 MP sensor. The device is equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery, 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of storage, positioning it as a reliable and budget-friendly option.
