Here’s How to Extract Text From Screenshots On Windows 11

Microsoft has been testing enhanced Snipping Tools in the Windows 11 Insider Preview release. The new feature enhances and alters the Snipping Tool, including the ability to extract text from screenshots taken using the tool. The feature is presently available in the Dev and Canary channels, and it is expected to be included in the stable build soon.
However, there is a way to install the new Snipping Tool with Text Actions, and in this post, we will explain how to get the new Snipping Tool as well as extract text after capturing a screenshot.
Obtaining the New Snipping Tool with Text Action
In any browser, navigate to https://store.rg-adguard.net/. Select Product ID from the drop-down menu, select Fast Ring, and then enter “9MZ95KL8MR0L” in the search.
Find the version “2022.2308.33.0” in the search results and download it by right-clicking on the MSIXBUNDLE extension.
After downloading, double-click it to install it.
That’s it. The new Snipping Tool is now available on your machine.
Text extraction from a screenshot
Take a screenshot using the Snipping Tool now.
On the toolbar, click the Text Actions button.
You can now copy and paste the text from the screenshot wherever you wish.
