Oppo Reno 14 Pro & Reno 14: Everything We Know So Far – Display, Design, Battery & More

Oppo is preparing to officially unveil its Reno 14 series in China soon, and the leaks have already started painting a compelling picture of what to expect. Thanks to a series of tipster reports and design leaks, we now have a clearer understanding of both the Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro—from their upgraded displays and powerful batteries to premium durability and camera tech.

Big Displays, Sleek Design

According to fresh leaks from Digital Chat Station, a trusted industry insider on Weibo, both models will feature large OLED displays with a 1.5K resolution. The base Reno 14 is said to sport a 6.59-inch LTPS OLED panel, while the Reno 14 Pro steps it up with a 6.83-inch screen. Both displays are expected to feature rounded corners, ultra-thin bezels, and a flat design, improving usability and aesthetics.

Oppo appears to be moving away from curved edges in favor of this flat look—similar to Apple’s approach—which also enhances grip and reduces accidental touches.

Top-Tier Water & Dust Resistance

For the first time in the Reno series, the devices are rumored to come with both IP68 and IP69 ratings. This makes the Reno 14 Pro not just resistant to dust and submersion but also durable against high-pressure water sprays—rare protection even among flagship smartphones.

Despite this rugged build, the series will reportedly maintain a thin and lightweight frame, offering both elegance and durability in one package.

Massive Battery Upgrades

Battery life is getting a major boost in the Reno 14 series. Leaks suggest massive battery capacities exceeding 6,000mAh for both models—an upgrade that will ensure long-lasting performance. Fast charging isn’t left behind either: the Reno 14 Pro is tipped to support 80W wired and 50W wireless fast charging, promising quick top-ups without the wait.

MediaTek Power Inside

Under the hood, the Reno 14 Pro is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, a capable SoC aimed at balancing performance and power efficiency. Combined with Oppo’s ColorOS based on Android 14 and likely RAM/storage options like 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB, users should expect a smooth multitasking experience.

Pro-Grade Cameras with iPhone-Like Setup

Camera upgrades are another big focus. The Reno 14 Pro is rumored to house a triple camera system led by a 50MP main sensor, supported by a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The goal seems to be to mimic an “iPhone-like” photography experience, blending hardware and software for better clarity, color accuracy, and versatility.

A recent render leak showcased a completely redesigned camera module, placed in a sleek rectangular housing for a more modern and minimalistic rear look.

Magic Cube Button: Your New Shortcut Companion

One standout new feature is the rumored “Magic Cube” button, which will likely debut on the Reno 14 Pro. This programmable button can be customized to launch apps, toggle functions, or perform quick actions, giving users more control at their fingertips.

Extra Highlights

• Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for faster and more secure unlocking.

• ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 for a refined software experience.

• Sleek metal frames surrounding the device, adding to its premium build.
