How to Update WatchOS 10 on Apple Watch, Things to Remember, and More

If you want to update your Apple Watch today or as soon as it arrives, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Things to consider before applying the update

The Apple device can be updated straight from the device or via the iPhone.
Before updating, double-check the watch compatibility.
Update your iPhone to the most recent iOS version.
Make sure the watch is at least 50% charged.
Make sure the watch is connected to Wi-Fi.

How to Update Your Apple Watch Using Your iPhone

There are two issues. You can first wait for the update notification to appear on your phone. You can also press and select the Update Tonight option on the watch’s notification and then travel to the iPhone to confirm that you wish to update overnight.
That’s all. To complete the upgrade procedure, simply leave the Apple Watch charging overnight.
You can even do it by hand if you choose. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.
Select General > Software Update from the menu.
Install the update. Enter your iPhone passcode or Apple Watch passcode if prompted.

How to Update Your Apple Watch Using the Watch

If your Apple Watch is running WatchOS 6 or later, you can install updates without needing to connect it to your iPhone.
Check that your watch is connected to Wi-Fi.
Open the Settings app on your watch.
Select General > Software Update from the menu.
If a software update is available, tap Install and then follow the onscreen instructions.
