Oukitel WP33 Pro Unveiled

The new Oukitel WP33 Pro proudly opposes slimness. And portable smartphones. It has an astounding 22,000 mAh battery, which is advertised as the largest ever installed in a phone. The phone weighs 577.5g and is 27.2mm thick. That is one device you will never, ever forget to carry in your pocket! That is, provided you have reinforced pockets; we’re not sure if regular pockets can withstand anything like this without bursting at the seams.

The Oukitel WP33 Pro is also quite wide at 84 mm, making it nearly impossible for anyone, including NBA players, to grasp and operate with one hand. At 175.4 mm, the height is within the usual range.

The key feature on the rear, however, has nothing to do with the cameras. It’s the totally ridiculous 5W speaker, which measures 36mm in diameter and has a maximum volume of 136dB.

According to Oukitel’s measurements, an iPhone 15’s speakers reach 98 dB, an alarm siren reaches 109 dB, an outdoor speaker may reach 116 dB, a jet engine produces 120 dB, and the WP33 Pro’s speaker is even louder. It also includes “8D Immersive Stereo Surround” sound, because 3, 4, 5, 6, or even 7 Ds were clearly insufficient.

It is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6100+ processor, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The display is a 6.6-inch 1,080×2,408 IPS panel with a refresh rate of 60 Hz and a brightness of 450 nits. On top, there is Gorilla Glass 5.

The rear camera contains a 64 MP Sony IMX686 1/1.73″ sensor with an f/1.89 aperture and an LED flash. A 20 MP night vision camera with the Sony IMX350 1/1.78″ sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and an infrared fill light is also included. Finally, a 2 MP macro camera from BYD (best known for electric automobiles, but apparently extending out). A 32 MP camera with the Sony IMX616 sensor handles selfies. The WP33 Pro enables 33W wired charging (from 0 to 100% in 5 hours) and 18W reverse wired charging to charge other devices from its massive battery. The phone boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, IP69K certification for high-pressure water jets, and MIL-STD-810H certification for a 1.5m drop. On the side is a fingerprint sensor. It runs Android 13 and is unlikely to receive any updates.
