Infinix Note 50s 5G: Launching April 18 with 64MP Sony Camera, Dimensity 7300, and Premium Design

Infinix is ready to unveil its latest 5G mid-range offering — the Infinix Note 50s 5G — on April 18 in India. This will be the second device in the Note 50 series, following the Note 50x which made its debut last month. Positioned as a feature-rich and style-forward smartphone, the Note 50s 5G is bringing several firsts to its segment — from its scented vegan leather back to curved AMOLED visuals and flagship-level chipset.

One of the key selling points of the Infinix Note 50s is its ultra-slim profile, measuring just 7.6mm thick, making it India’s slimmest smartphone with a 144Hz curved AMOLED display. The display itself spans 6.78 inches, with FHD+ resolution, 1300 nits brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and support for HDR10+, promising an immersive and fluid visual experience.

Adding both flair and protection, the screen comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while the body boasts MIL-STD-810 military-grade durability and IP64 rating, offering resistance against dust and splashes.

Striking Colors and Scent-Tech Finish

The Note 50s 5G will be offered in three striking color variants:

• Marine Drift Blue (vegan leather) – infused with Scent-Tech that emits a long-lasting fragrance

• Titanium Grey – featuring a sleek metallic finish

• Burgundy Red – with a bold and elegant metallic look

The Gem Cut design on the back and the Active Halo Lighting ring around the camera add to the phone’s futuristic aesthetics, doubling as call and notification indicators.

The Note 50s 5G houses a dual rear camera setup, headlined by the 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor — a well-regarded image sensor known for delivering high-detail shots in varying lighting conditions. The camera is equipped with:

• AI Halo Timer to visually assist with selfies and timed shots

Powerful Hardware: MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset — a 4nm SoC also found in the Note 50x. According to Infinix, this chip can achieve over 700,000 on AnTuTu benchmarks, making it one of the most powerful processors in the midrange category. The chipset supports up to 90fps gaming, ensuring smoother gameplay and enhanced responsiveness in supported titles.

The phone is expected to ship with up to:

• 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM (expandable to 24GB with virtual RAM)

• 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, providing both speed and space for power users

The Note 50s 5G packs a 5,500mAh battery, offering all-day endurance. While Infinix has confirmed the battery size, fast-charging details were initially under wraps, but earlier leaks suggest support for 45W fast charging, allowing for quick top-ups when needed.

Running on XOS based on Android 14, the device includes a new AI assistant, a custom gaming dashboard with XBoost engine, 4D vibration feedback, and various smart gesture controls. The stereo speakers are Hi-Res Audio certified, enhancing your media and gaming sessions.
