TECNO POVA Curve 5G officially launched in India as the slimmest curved phone

TECNO has launched the POVA Curve 5G in India as the first phone in its new Curve series. This device stands out with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display that offers a super smooth 144Hz refresh rate, high 1300 nits brightness, and 2304Hz PWM dimming for better eye comfort. Protected by Gorilla Glass 5, the screen curves at a 55° angle and helps achieve a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio. It’s also the slimmest curved phone in India with a 5,500mAh battery, measuring just 7.45mm thick and weighing 188.5g.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate (4nm) processor paired with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. You can choose between 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. TECNO also focused on signal stability by adding 86.5% antenna coverage, real-time signal optimization, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and an Intelligent Signal Hub for better connectivity in poor-signal areas.

The software experience is handled by HiOS 15 based on Android 15, and TECNO promises an Android 16 update plus 2 years of security patches. One of the highlights is Ella AI, TECNO’s smart assistant. It includes features like AI Auto Call Answering, Voiceprint Noise Reduction, Live Translations (even for WhatsApp calls), multilingual support, and something called No Network Communication, designed to help when there’s little or no signal.

On the camera front, you get a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor on the back. The camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps for both front and rear. For selfies, there’s a 13MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The 5,500mAh battery is optimized with TÜV Rheinland certification for long-term usage and supports 45W fast charging. TECNO claims it charges 50% in just 15 minutes and reaches 100% in 45 minutes. It also includes bypass charging to reduce heating while gaming. The box comes with a charger included.

You also get a solid set of features: stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, dual microphones, in-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA (n1, n3, n5, n8, n28B, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, USB-C, and NFC.

The phone is available in Magic Silver, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black. Pricing starts at ₹15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model (Flipkart exclusive), while the 8GB + 128GB variant will cost ₹16,999 and will be available through offline stores. Sales begin on June 5.
